Justin Rose has pulled out of an intended appearance in this weeks Memorial tournament with a lingering back injury. The Englishman missed last weeks BMW PGA Championship with the issue but said he was confident of being back in action in time for the US Open.However his chance for tournament practice is now limited to the FedEx St Jude Classic next week, with the US Open starting at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania on June 16. Rose has not played since finishing in a tie for 19th place in the Players Championship at Sawgrass three weeks ago.Speaking to Sky Sports at Wentworth last week, 2013 US Open champion Rose said: I want to be 100 per cent fit, ready and focused for the US Open.Every day Im making progress and, although its important not to rush these things, Im upbeat and positive.
