Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will miss two games as a precautionary measure because he has not been feeling well, the team said Friday. The star center will miss Fridays home game against Calgary and Saturdays test in Columbus. Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford said in a statement there is no indication Crosby has the mumps, a viral infection generally found in children that has hit several NHL locker rooms recently. The Penguins said medical specialists recommended Crosby be held out for a couple of games following new test results. Rutherford said they would have additional test results in a few days. Crosby is tied for second in the NHL with 35 points on nine goals and 26 assists in 27 games. "Just because he was maybe in between trying to block or decide where the ball was going to end up." Lucroy said he did not think the pitch was a strike. The Pirates then put runners on first and second in the ninth, but Rodriguez got Travis Snider to hit into a fielders choice that advanced Starling Marte to third and retired Harrison for his 19th save. "I ended up making the right pitches to get out of (the jam)," Rodriguez said. "So its definitely a nice win."
